Midtown Commons

Structural Modification Needed before Re-Roofing / Heating and Cooling Efficiency

The Midtown Commons project required the removal of the existing roof system (50,000 SF of ballasted EPDM) to allow for structural modifications prior to the installation of the new roof system.

A single layer of 3.3” (r=20) Polyiso on all deck locations was applied, then a tapered system nearly 6’ deep was installed, and then cover board and Fully-adhered 60 Mil Carlisle white TPO membrane was installed.

The new roof system has an average R-value in excess of 100 and will greatly decrease the owners heating and cooling costs.
